Terra joined Illuminate Salon in January of 2017. Originally from Winston-Salem, she moved to Charlotte in 2005. Terra studied at UNCC and then started her path towards becoming a stylist at Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School, followed by the beginning of her career Varji and Varji, working there for six years. Terra loves working with color, especially with techniques like balayage, which create a personalized result. She believes each client’s color should be customized specifically for them.
Outside of Illuminate, Terra loves live music with her husband, spending time with their dog, Muggsy, and supporting local businesses in her neighborhood, Plaza Midwood and around Charlotte.

In an effort to accommodate our amazing clients and their scheduling needs, Illuminate stylists are charging a 100% No-Show fee to all missed appointments. This fee will be added to your future service. If there are two or more no-shows, we will require a prepayment at the time of booking. We know that emergencies happen, but please allow 24 hours notice for any cancellation. Messages on our answering machine DO count toward this notice. A fee will be charged for last minute cancellations.
