Melissa has always been fascinated by color and design. Growing up she used all her friends heads as her cutting and color pallet.
After high school she followed her passion for elements of color and design by studying fashion at FIDM in Los Angeles.
In the end, she returned to her “roots” and became a cosmetologist.
It’s really the people, her clients, who make her job fulfilling. “We develop such wonderful, close relationships with our clients. It’s truly a privilege to be able to make their day a little better.”

In an effort to accommodate our amazing clients and their scheduling needs, Illuminate stylists are charging a 100% No-Show fee to all missed appointments. This fee will be added to your future service. If there are two or more no-shows, we will require a prepayment at the time of booking. We know that emergencies happen, but please allow 24 hours notice for any cancellation. Messages on our answering machine DO count toward this notice. A fee will be charged for last minute cancellations.
