Corinne’s foray into the beauty industry began the summer she spent with her Grandmother. Standing in the basement of Stella’s beauty salon, accepting generous 25 cent tips, she would stare at a magnet that read “I’m a beautician, not a magician”, and this became embedded in her psyche. It was there that Corinne‘s eyes were opened to the world of beauty and fashion.

Eventually, she moved to Charlotte to study cosmetology at the Paul Mitchell Academy. Corinne’s creativity flourished in the expansive world of hair styling where she worked on editorial photo shoots, fashion shows, and product distribution. These opportunities lead her to become an educator for Kevin Murphy.

However, despite the diverse avenues she went down, Corinne was always drawn back to working behind the chair, where her one-on-one relationships with her clients became her driving force. She was fortunate enough to begin her salon career at Illuminate from it’s inception. Now that she had found her salon home, she continued to foster her skill set with a diverse array of on-trend cut and color education, concentrating on current color trends.

Corinne especially enjoys transitioning from experimental, temporary pigments, to creating natural multi-dimensional tones, thus accentuating each client’s individuality. These varied experiences allow her to cultivate and nurture a wide array of personal expectations, while bringing her own aesthetic to every guest’s salon experience.
