Most people haven’t heard of McConnells SC, but before moving to Charlotte seventeen years ago, that’s where Brandi Piana spent most of her childhood. She’s a small town girl with the street smarts of a urban dweller who loves traveling and soaking up all the world has to offer. After moving to Charlotte, she worked as an apprentice, building a strong foundation in all aspects of hairdressing.
In 2000, she spread her wings and helped build the Salon Indigo team that would eventually become Fuze Salon. Focusing on education, Brandi began attending classes at the Redken Exchange in NYC where she learned the very latest in cutting edge techniques. Not only did she love just learning but was inspired to help start a training team at Fuze.
Brandi has never met a stranger. Anyone who meets her recognizes that natural exuberance and feels warmed by it. Her clients trust her abilities implicitly but come almost as much for the experience of sharing a great laugh with her.
Opening Illuminate Salon with partners Chip Perry and Rob Murphy is something she considers to be her career’s pinnacle. “There are no limits, nothing we can’t do.”

In an effort to accommodate our amazing clients and their scheduling needs, Illuminate stylists are charging a 100% No-Show fee to all missed appointments. This fee will be added to your future service. If there are two or more no-shows, we will require a prepayment at the time of booking. We know that emergencies happen, but please allow 24 hours notice for any cancellation. Messages on our answering machine DO count toward this notice. A fee will be charged for last minute cancellations.
